Pants on the Ground Guy Beaten to Death
Yesterday my little cousin Sophia told me that General Larry Platt (a.k.a. Pants on the Ground Guy) had been killed by a gang of thugs in an Atlanta parking lot. Apparently, Platt had the bright idea to go up to this gang and start singing his famous "Pants on the Ground" rap. They were not amused.
At first I was real sad to hear this news. Then, as I replayed the incident in my head, I started to laugh. What a ridiculous way to die. Could you imagine this guy actually doing this? How funny would it be if he really went around to different ghetto areas and just busted out singing all over the place? The more I thought about it, the more I realized it had to be a rumor.
So when I got a chance, I googled it, and sure enough it turned out to be a rumor. It's actually been floating around for a few months now, but I don't pay much attention to rumors (unless they involve sports). In the stupidest news story ever, CBS Atlanta News went to knock on Platt's door to ask him if he was indeed beaten to death in a parking lot. I think the fact that he answered the door would have been proof enough. Or maybe even a phone call would have sufficed. The face he gives here is actually a pretty appropriate response to the question.

Yes bitch, I was beaten to death in a parking lot. I am now Zombie Gen. Larry Platt. GIMME DEM BRAINS!!!Even though he had more than enough reason to be annoyed, Platt was still kind enough to address these rumors. Here is what he said...
"The rumor on the Internet is these different gangs running around making up lies because they're mad that I came up with the song 'Pants on the Ground."
So it was actually the gangs who started the rumors? Wow, I don't know too many tech savvy crack dealers. That is impressive. Besides, it's good that they are mad. If they are mad that means "Pants on the Ground" must be making a difference.
Glad to hear you're not dead Larry. I love you man.

I hope he makes a song about skinny jeans...but then again, they're so popular, something might actually happen to him.
What a crazy rumor!
Thank God for Xanga....You keep me updated on urban America....I keep you updated on rural America....like when they spread shit on the fields and what crop is being harvested.

Good luck being just like him!
He speaks the truth, nobody can beat you up for the truth c'mon now.

"If they are mad that means "Pants on the Ground" must be making a
difference."
This is proof that we can ALL make a difference, even American Idol rejects who become YouTube stars and internet memes. It gives me a warm glow inside.
rofl. what a ridiculous rumor, glad he's not dead. :D
@SoapAndShampoo - He shouldn't been rejected from American Idol. So what if he was a little over the age limit of 28? AI could use a 62 year old Idol.
Wow. And he's local to Atlanta, you know. We got those techie gangs down here who use the internet a lot...
So, dead guys don't answer the door. Good to know.
I love Gen Larry Platt! He rocks. Plus, I learned he was quite the civil rights activist. GO LARRY!
